Why an analytical approach to marketing
Good marketing is a series of decisions: who to serve, what to say, where to spend and what to stop. My background is in business strategy, finance and data, so I start with your goals and your numbers and keep the plan honest about what’s working.
I’m Peter Klausz, based in Burlington, Massachusetts. I hold an MBA from the University of Rochester’s Simon Business School and two B.S. degrees from Syracuse University, in Supply Chain Management & Finance and in International Relations. Since 2018 I’ve run Statadventure, LLC, a consulting firm for small and mid-size manufacturers, and I build software in Python and SQL with AI-assisted development.
Through Statadventure I also work with manufacturers, so I understand B2B buying, long sales cycles and the questions engineers and buyers ask.
How it works
- Free 30-minute call. Your goals, customers, current marketing and budget.
- Assess. I review your website, Google Business Profile, listings, analytics and competitors, and separate facts from assumptions.
- Plan. A written scope and a 90-day plan with priorities, owners and goals. You approve it before work starts.
- Build & run. Profile and on-page fixes, content, email, campaigns and tracking, in short, visible steps.
- Measure & hand over. A simple dashboard, a monthly review and documentation so your team can keep it going, with or without me.
Packages
Three common starting points. Every package is scoped and quoted after the free call.
Local Visibility Starter
Google Business Profile setup or cleanup, on-page fixes for your key service pages, core citations, a review-request routine and Search Console/Analytics setup.
Marketing Strategy & 90-Day Plan
Discovery, customer and competitor review, positioning, channel plan, content calendar and a KPI dashboard, handed over as a plan your team can run.
Ongoing Marketing Support
A monthly retainer for content, email, profile management, campaign planning and reporting, with a monthly review call.
Greater Boston service area
I work with businesses across Boston and Greater Boston. Every town has its own mix of customers and competitors; here is how that tends to shape the marketing plan:
Burlington
My home base, on the Route 128 / I-95 corridor. Retail, office parks and tech employers mean busy local search competition; a precise Business Profile and fast, clear service pages matter.
Cambridge
Startups and university-adjacent firms around Kendall, Central and Harvard Squares. Positioning and a credible, well-structured website often matter as much as local listings.
Waltham
Office parks and life-science and tech firms along Route 128, plus Moody Street’s restaurants and shops. B2B content and local-maps visibility both have a role.
Woburn
Industrial parks and manufacturers near I-93 and I-95. Capability pages, quote-request flows and industry directories usually beat generic social posting.
Lexington
Professional services and tech and biotech offices alongside a historic town center. Reviews, referrals and clear service pages carry weight.
Somerville
Davis, Union and Assembly Square restaurants and independent businesses. Accurate maps listings, photos and review replies are front and center.
Quincy
Quincy Center and the Red Line connect a dense mix of restaurants, health and professional practices. Neighborhood-specific content and consistent listings help.
Frequently asked questions
Do you guarantee first-page rankings or a number of leads?
No. Google says nobody can pay for better local rankings, and results depend on your market, competition and budget. I commit to clear deliverables, honest reporting and a plan built on Google’s and Bing’s published guidance.
Do I need to be in Boston to work with you?
No. I’m based in Burlington and focus on Boston and Greater Boston, including Cambridge, Waltham, Woburn, Lexington, Somerville and Quincy. Most work happens remotely, with in-person meetings in the area when useful.
How much do your marketing services cost?
Every project is quoted after a free 30-minute call, based on scope. You’ll get a written proposal with deliverables, timing and price before any work starts.
Can you help with my Google Business Profile if I work from home?
Yes. If you don’t serve customers at your address, Google asks service-area businesses to hide the address and list the areas they serve instead, so your home address isn’t displayed.
Do you use AI to write marketing content?
I use AI to speed up drafts, analysis and automation, but a person edits and fact-checks everything, and nothing is published that misrepresents real people, reviews or results.
Will you write reviews or testimonials for my business?
No. Fake or incentivized-positive reviews violate the FTC’s rule on consumer reviews and testimonials. I’ll set up an honest routine for asking every customer for a review.
Who owns the accounts and content?
You do. Profiles, ad accounts, analytics, website and content are set up in your name, with me added as a user while we work together.
How I keep it honest
- Scope, deliverables and timing agreed in writing before work starts.
- No guaranteed rankings, leads or revenue. Results depend on your market, budget and follow-through.
- No fake reviews, invented testimonials or misleading claims, ever.
- No legal, tax or accounting advice; I’ll tell you when you need a specialist.
- You own your accounts, website, content and data.
