AI Integration for Small and Mid-Size Businesses
Practical AI automation, assistants and reporting for Boston-area teams, with a person in charge and your data kept private.
I help small and mid-size businesses use AI where it saves real time: automating repetitive work, answering questions from your own documents, and turning scattered data into reports you can trust. I build in Python and SQL with AI-assisted development, and I come from a supply chain and operations background, so I start with the process, not the tool.

What AI integration covers
Every project starts with one workflow or question that matters to your business. These are the areas I most often work in:
Workflow automation
Repetitive, rule-based steps such as lead routing, follow-up drafts, report assembly, data entry checks and scheduled alerts, with approvals where a person should decide.
AI assistants on your company data
Internal chatbots or search that answer questions from your own manuals, SOPs, policies and product documents, with sources shown so staff can verify the answer.
Document and email processing
Sorting, summarizing and extracting fields from invoices, purchase orders, quotes, contracts and inbound email, with exceptions flagged for review.
Reporting and forecasting
Python and SQL pipelines that pull data from your systems, check it and produce dashboards and baseline forecasts you can trace back to the source.
Marketing content workflows
Prompt libraries, drafting templates and review checklists so marketing content is produced faster but edited, fact-checked and approved by a person.
Custom Python and SQL integrations
Connecting your tools (spreadsheets, ERP exports, CRM, email, databases) and AI services through tested, documented code you own.
Staff training
Short, hands-on sessions on using AI tools well: writing good prompts, checking outputs, and knowing what never to paste into a public tool.
AI policy and risk review
A plain-language review of where AI is already used, what data is involved, and a practical usage policy covering privacy, accuracy, approvals and vendor terms.
Who it’s for
- Owner-led small and mid-size businesses that lose hours each week to repetitive admin, reporting or email
- Manufacturers and distributors with data in ERP exports and spreadsheets and questions that take too long to answer
- Professional services firms that want faster drafting and research without risking client confidentiality
- Marketing and operations teams that already experiment with AI tools and want a consistent, safe way to use them
If you’re not sure whether AI fits your problem, the free call is the place to find out. Sometimes the right answer is a better spreadsheet, a simple script or no change at all, and I’ll say so.
How it works
- Free 30-minute call. We walk through your workflows, tools, data and what is costing the most time.
- Assess. I map the process, identify where AI helps and where it doesn’t, and note the data, privacy and accuracy risks.
- Scope & quote. A written plan with deliverables, timing, price and acceptance tests. Nothing starts until you approve it.
- Build & test. Short build cycles in Python and SQL with AI-assisted development and line-by-line review. Outputs are checked against examples you already trust, with a pilot on a small slice first.
- Train & hand over. Documentation, staff training, a review routine and an owner on your side. Ongoing support is optional.
Pricing: every project is quoted after the free call, based on scope. Request a quote.
My background
I’m Peter Klausz, based in Burlington, Massachusetts. I hold an MBA from the University of Rochester’s Simon Business School and two B.S. degrees from Syracuse University, in Supply Chain Management & Finance and in International Relations. Since 2018 I’ve run Statadventure, LLC, a consulting firm for small and mid-size manufacturers, and I build software in Python and SQL with AI-assisted development.
I use Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, Grok and Gemini as tools in my own development work. They help me move faster, but I review and test what they produce. You can read more in How I Use AI to Build Supply Chain Software, and for manufacturers see Statadventure. For marketing-specific AI work, see Marketing Services.
How I keep it honest
- Human oversight: a named person on your team reviews and owns AI output. No unreviewed automated decisions about people, safety or money.
- Data privacy: minimum data, your IT and AI policies, and clear rules about what never leaves your systems.
- No guaranteed results: AI can make mistakes, and outcomes depend on your data and processes. I report what worked and what didn’t.
- No fake claims: no invented case studies, testimonials or inflated promises.
- You own the work: code, documentation, accounts and data are yours.
- Scope in writing before work starts, and no legal, tax or compliance advice; I’ll point you to a specialist when needed.

Frequently asked questions
What is AI integration?
It means connecting AI tools to the way your business already works: your documents, data, email and reports. The goal is to remove repetitive steps and speed up drafting and analysis, with people still making the decisions.
Do you guarantee savings or time reductions?
No. Results depend on your processes, data quality and how your team adopts the changes. I’ll agree measurable goals with you and report honestly on what the work did and didn’t achieve.
Is my company data safe?
Data privacy is part of the scope, not an afterthought. I work within your IT and AI policies, use the minimum data needed, recommend business-tier tools with appropriate data controls, and we agree up front what must never be sent to an outside AI service.
Which AI tools do you use?
I use Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, Grok and Gemini in my own development work, and I’m happy to work with the tools you already pay for. I recommend a tool only when it fits your task, budget and privacy needs.
Do I need technical staff to maintain it?
No. Everything is documented, the code and accounts are yours, and I hand over with a walkthrough and a simple run-and-update routine. Optional support is available afterward.
Will AI replace my employees?
My focus is helping the people you have spend less time on repetitive work. A person reviews and owns every output, and I won’t build systems that make unreviewed decisions about people, safety or money.
How much does it cost?
Every project is quoted after a free 30-minute call, based on scope. You’ll receive a written proposal with deliverables, timing and price before any work starts.
